Alliez & Berguen, Paris a French gilt mantel clock, the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell, the backplate stamped for the maker Alliez & Berguen, Paris, 78, the round white enamel dial having black Roman hour numerals and blued steel moon hands, the gilt-brass waisted case having applied floral mounts and decorative blue porcelain panel inset to the front, the rear of the case stamped H. Picard, standing on a giltwood base with glass dome, height 28cm inc. base, 22cm clock. Complete with a giltwood wall bracket with ormolu decoration and Ho-ho bird to the front.
