A VERY FINE 18TH CENTURY IRISH, CORK, SILVER COFFEE POT, Cork, circa 1770, by the maker Carden Terry, Carden Terry was born in February of 1742 and was apprenticed out in 1758. He had various addresses between then and when he returned to Cork from London in 1770. The very fine coffee pot has a raised hinged lid with finial top, the graduated body is decorated to one side with an engraved crest surrounded by floral and foliage design, with a bird head spout and wooden handle, Weight – 850g / 27.33oz, Height – 24.2cm, Diameter of Base – 9.1cm
