Late Victorian cast plaster sculpture 'Best friends', height 136cm
The left forefinger has been rebuilt. On the same hand the thumb has been re-stuck. There is also a chip to the little finger (see images).
On the dog, its right ear has been off and re-stuck with associated losses. The tail has been completely been rebuilt in an amateur fashion. There is some rebuilding to chips around the base, chips to the outside on the dog's hind legs. There are small chips and scrapes elsewhere.
The whole figure has a liberal coating of white household gloss paint.
