Simpson & Sons six inch dust pressed tile, hand painted with a boy riding a hobby horse in blue against the white ground with an orange border, probably on a Davenport blank, painted marks, together with five other tiles featuring portraits, comprising two by Thomas Allen for Wedgwood, each with a printed image of a girl within a floral border in blue, a Wedgwood example featuring an unknown man in blue, a coloured lithography of WE Gladstone for Minton Hollins, and a similar tile, possibly by Steele and Wood.
