A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR TO A POW FROM THE LIVERPOOL REGIMENT. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 6448 Pte J. Kershaw L'Pool R. James Kershaw served with the 2nd/6th (Rifle) and 12 (Service) Battalions of the King's (Liverpool Regiment) with numbers 6448 and 243669. He was reported as wounded on the 5th September 1917 and entitled to a wound stripe, a prisoner of war in German hands from the 2nd February 1918 he was released on the 6th December 1918.
