RED HS "NOTICE" (REDIRECTED WITH HS "1"); Neat 23 Aug. 1851 local Liverpool front (ms "Notice" partly lost at top) with v. fine red Liverpool hs "3" (rare) and matching v. fine "LIVERPOOL/PAID" cds. Plus 22 Aug. 1854 complete Notice EL sent from "PRESTON" (v. fine cds on the front) to London with 1d Red 'stars' strip of 3 (creases) cancelled by "628" Preston numerals but also having a fine red Handstruck "NOTICE" alongside which was presumably also struck in Preston but has not been recorded before; redirected to Ilfracombe with a fine black London hs "1".
