* Original canvas. Now with surface dirt and discoloured varnish in evidence. Frame rubbing to edges. Several small white (paint) splash marks. Small surface score (approx. 2cm in length) through sitters right eyebrow). A couple of patches of paint shrinkage, mostly contained to lower quarter of the painting. Several streaks towards the bottom edge of the painting where varnish has deteriorated and left a cloudy/chalky finish. Little to discern under UV. Otherwise appears sound.
