Good French double bass modelled after Vuillaume of Paris, possibly from the Thibouville-Lamy workshop circa 1910, the two piece swell back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a medium width grain and the varnish of a reddish-brown colour on a yellow ground, length of back 48", stop length 26.25", vibrating string length 44"

*This instrument is generally in a very good state of preservation and the scroll bears four nickel-plated French style machine heads

As stated in the footnote to the description this bass is in a reasonable state of preservation with expected wear and tear for age including some rib cracks, cosmetic varnish issues with minor scratches and bruises all over, a professional neck strengthening graft, see images for guidance, personal always advised where possible
