A Victorian silver conical bachelor's coffee pot, of George I design, hinged cover with knop finial, scroll-capped ebonised handle, skirted base, 16.5cm high, Londom 1893, 13.5oz gross Heraldry: Crest of Sir Thomas Taylour, 2nd Earl of Bective (Irish peerage) of Headfort House, Co. Meath. He was raised to the Marquessate of Headfort 29/12/1800, so the engraving must pre-date his knowledge of this event (it was a reward for voting the Irish Parliament out of existence!. He had succeeded to his father's title in 1795 (I think you said the mark was 1800). Provenance therefore Headfort (where the family still live) or the Dublin town house.
