A large Talavera or Puente del Arzobispo Spanish majolica bowl, probably early 18th century, the well painted in shades of green, yellow and brown with pouncing wolf underneath leafy trees, between a border of concentric horizontal bands, the exterior decorated with short trees, raised on circular foot, 11½in. (29.3cm.) diameter.
*Condition: surface glaze star crack to underside of foot, grazes and nibbles to bowl rim, rubs and war to surface, overall good.
