A mid 19c French mantel clock by Valery of Paris in rectangular ebonised case with out swept base and pointed top . The case front in inlaid with cut glass floral designs with abalone and mother of pearl inlays and has a cast brass carrying handle. The rectangular white enamel dial has Roman numerals and signed Valery Paris. The two train movement has countwheel striking on a bell and stand 11.5in tall overall.
Case has some chipping to corners of base and some inlay missing on front. the glass slide over the dial has been repaired and the glass possibly replaced. Movement seems complete and runs and strikes, but hammer is loose and in bottom of case. enamel dial generally good with a couple of fine hairline cracks.
