A Victorian silver presentation trowel within fitted case, Martin Hall and Co, London 1876, the trowel of typical form with embossed scrolling foliate decorated handle (weighted) the blade with etched detail border and central engraved inscription 'Presented to Mrs John Roberts, Bryngwenallt, on the occasion of her laying the foundation stone of the new English Presbyterian Church Pensarn Abergele 25th July 1877 "For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue St Luke VII V" 36cm in length, 13ozt

The blade of the trowel shows discolouration to the edge - see images
Scratch to reverse of blade in centre towards the handle, approx 5mm long - see images
Inscription and engraving to front of blade in good condition, no major rubbing.
Handle hallmarks rubbed.
Case shows signs of wear, rips, scratches and dents to exterior leather, and rips to fabric lining.
