A LATE VICTORIAN GOLD DIAMOND INSECT BROOCH, yellow gold bee style brooch, set with two circular cut rubies for the eyes, the body comprised of nineteen old cut diamonds, measuring from 1.2mm to 3.3mm in diameter each, estimated total diamond weight 1.40ct, average colour assessed as G-H, clarity assessed as VS2 - SI1, fitted to a roller style catch and pin, together with safety chain and additional bail to be worn as a pendant, brooch measuring approximately width 36.0mm x length 25.0mm, gross weight 4.71 grams (Condition report: overall condition very good, minor scratches innkeeping with age and general wear, the roller catch is possibly a later replacement, diamonds bright and lively in good order, rubies not matched in colour)
