29th (Worcestershire) Regiment Sutlej Medal for Ferozeshuhur 1845, Wounded. Awarded to JOSEPH FOX 29TH REGT. The reverse Ferozeshuhur 1845, clasp Sobraon. Accompanied by a quantity of research. Private Joseph Fox enlisted at Liverpool on the 15th December 1838. He embarked with the regiment for service in India on the 9th April 1842 in the transport ship Elizabeth. The 29th were ordered to join the army of the Sutlej and on the 21st December 1845 at the battle of Ferozeshuhur he was reported wounded and admitted to the hospital. He rejoined the Regiment in time to take part in the Battle of Sobraon on the 10th February 1846. He also saw service during the Punjab campaign and was in late 1851 noted on the Hospital Muster Rolls and died on the 30th October 1851. His next of kin his father was living in Wakefield.
