A smokebox numberplate, 5027, from a GWR 4073 Castle Class 4-6-0 FARLEIGH CASTLE built at Swindon in April 1934 which took its name from Farleigh Hungerford Castle, a former manor house four miles west of Trowbridge, now a ruin. Allocated new to Old Oak Common where it remained until transferred to Chester in 1950 and later Stafford Road, Bristol Bath Road, Reading, Carmarthen and Llanelly from where it was withdrawn in November 1962 and cut up by Cashmores at Great Bridge in September 1963.
