An 18th century Italian Majolica charger of massive proportions, decorated with a classical scene of a medieval tourney, featuring a headless competitor and grieving maidens, the wide rim with winged cherubs and face masks within floral and scroll decoration on yellow ground, staple repairs, 24 5/8in. (62.5cm.) diameter. * The rim with paint chips etc, two large cracks with staple repairs, running from rim to centre bowl, very pleasing to the eye.
