FIRST EDITION. Lowndes I, p.320. 2 works in 5 volumes. Uniform late 18th century red straight-grained morocco gilt, covers with wide border of fillets, greek-key roll and styllised foliage roll surrounding the central arms of the Duke of Newcastle, spine in seven compartments with double raised bands, green morocco lettering piece in the second, the others with on-laid blue morocco ovals or circles, all but the second with overall design including pointill work and various small tools, gilt turn-ins.
A superbly bound five volume collective.
