A SECOND WORLD WAR GERMAN ARMY BELT BUCKLE.
A German Wermacht Heer enlisted man's belt buckle with the motto Gott Mituns (God With Us), probably an early aluminium die stamped buckle by Linden und Funcke c 1936, marked 'L.u.F. attached to a leather belt, the buckle 4.7 x 6.5cm. Second World War or later.
This buckle is illustrated, front and back in Nash, P. German Belt Buckles 1845-1945. p131 where it is described as 'Early die struck aluminium buckle by Linden und Funckle, 1936'.
