Wilkinson's Sword, was created for Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee. This Commemorative Sword is based on the winning design from a competition initiated and funded by Wilkinson Sword at the London Guildhall University Sir John Cass Centre for Silversmithing and Jewellery. It was handcrafted in strictly limited numbers, and each owner's name was recorded in the Wilkinson Sword archive. A special first edition version of the sword was presented to Her Majesty. The hallmarked sterling silver hilt (Hallmarked for London, WS Ltd. 2002) with 24-carat gold plating and is embellished with enamelled decorations and ornately patterned silver bands. The sword has an attractive decorative polished stainless steel etched blade. Both sides have been etched with floral filigree comprising roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks, representing the four corners of the United Kingdom. The ricasso has the 'Wilkinson Sword' crossed swords and Crown. At the centre is the “ER” cypher. The reverse of the blade reads “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee 1952 – 2002” and has the limited number on the ricasso, this being number 0126
