Star Lot: A very large original antique oil on canvas painting titled "Courting Couple" by the Dutch artist Rudolph Andriz (1875-1925). Shows an young couple lounging in golden hour in the dunes rendered with stunning romantic lighting and typical Dutch school detail.

Andriz was a late 19th/early 20th century Dutch artist who specialised in Romantic genre scenes of working class people in the outdoors. His style is solidly traditional, following the Dutch manner of precise detailing and smooth brushwork. He has an excellent auction history selling in the thousands.
