WW2 Third Reich Wimpel für den Abschuss von Flugzeugen. Navy Pennant for the Downing of Enemy Aircraft 1940-1945. Awarded to the unit responsible for downing of an enemy aircraft (one for each aircraft) by anti-aircraft batteries or light anti-aircraft weapons. On 31 Jan 1941 this was extended to boats of the Harbour Protection Flotillas. Size 55cm x 27cm. Very faded red ink unit stamp.
