A collection of approximately 1,200 Portsmouth and Southsea standard-size postcards, including a few of surround areas such as Havant and Hayling Island and there is some plain-backed Isle of Wight rail interest. There are some excellent local cards, with what we consider to be the strongest featured in our six photos. There are a good number of real photographic cards, including street scenes and tram interest – but many common seafront and town hall views too. There are some Pamlin prints from the 1970s and other reproductions and a few plain-backed and photo-sized images. Many of the cards are in good condition – but, as would be expected with a collection this size, a number do have major or lesser faults such as creasing, small tears and corner and edge wear etc.
