Fees

A fine mid-19th century mahogany medal, coin or specimen collector's cabinet - the moulded top over a pair of lancet panelled doors in well-figured mahogany, one door with brass maker's label for 'Janson & Sons, 44 Gt. Russell St., London', enclosing two banks of eleven drawers with turned mahogany handles, each drawer with a removable glass cover enclosing an olive green silk and marbled paper lining, on a moulded plinth base with pottery castors. (LWH 101.5 x 49.5 x 84 cm)

More Information

In very good condition overall. The top has been repolished at some time and remains in good condition. The left side of the plinth has a small veneer split (approx. thumbnail size). There are no other faults – the drawers are all in superb condition and open and close smoothly. The cabinet is on castors as it is extremely heavy.
