A YELLOW METAL VICTORIAN MOURNING BROOCH, small brooch of wavy outline, with a woven hair insert to the centre, personal engraving to the reverse reads 'John Atkinson October 17th 1849', fitted with a brooch pin and C clasp, with additional bail to be worn as a pendant, unmarked, approximate dimensions length 25.3mm x width 20.1mm, approximate gross weight 4.6 grams (condition report: general light wear, the compartment to the front is slightly loose, overall condition good)
