A late 19c French mantel clock in waisted 'Rococo' style case decorated with cast gilt mounts. The body of the case has figures playing and singing music and the case sides are decorated with sprays of foliage all on a gilt background. The 9cm diam. white enamel dial has Roman inner and Arabic outer numerals and the circular movement strikes on a gong. The clock stands 37cm tall.
The gilt mounts are tarnished and the colour of the body has darkened with age. there is a horizontal crack in the paintwork around the top of the clock. The dial and glass are undamaged. Movement is complete and appears to run.
