Cape of Good Hope. 1822 (Sep 29) Entire letter from the Earl of Donoughmore at Knocklofty, addressed to "Major Henry Hely Hutchinson, 49th Regt., Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope", signed by Francis Freeling with both inland and boxed Ship Letter Office "FREE" datestamps. The letter includes "your best way of writing to me will be to enclose your letters under cover to Francis Freeling Esq., Secretary Gen. Post Office London to whom I have written for permission".
