A CRIMEA PERIOD 1822 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD AND SCABBARD. With an 82cm pipe backed spear pointed blade, etched to either side with VR beneath a Crown and amongst foliage, marked to the ricasso 'Hamburger Rogers & Co. 30 King St. Covent Garden, London, with a pierced half basket hilt with gothic pointed arches and oval hilt cartouche with Royal Cypher, folding internal guard section, wire bound shagreen grip and stepped pommel. In a brass scabbard for Field Rank Officers, with twin ring suspension. 99cm overall *Condition: Blade in very nice condition with an old layer of grease that has been protecting it for many years. Light dents to the scabbard. A fine example.
