A silver plated cream jug recovered from the P&O Liner SS 'Egypt': together with a Clan Line silver plate sugar bowl and circular two division entree dish (3). *Notes- SS 'Egypt' sank after colliding with 'Seine' in dense fog on the 20th May 1922. At the time of sailing she was carrying gold and silver bullion and gold sovereigns. By 1935 around 95% of the cargo had been recovered.
