A Military whip with a 15ct gold collar, inscribed 'Captain W Feilden, Doveridge, Derby', and makers names 'Merry St, James St' (62cms long). Also with another whip with horn shaft, silver mounted collar and antler handle (64.5cms long). (2)
*This could be William Morton Buller Feilden MC (1893-1976) of the Derbyshire Yeomanry (Territorial Force), 2nd Lieutenant from 3/4/13, Lieutenant later, 1/9/16 wounded and entitled to wound stripe, later Captain, Awarded UK Military Cross for distinguished service in the field, mentioned in dispatches twice and Italian silver medal for valour. ** Generally good, some wear in places as you would expect over time.
