Carved wooden figure, Falconer, by Patrick Conoley of a man holding a falcon, dated 1969, 27cm high,  a carved limewood figure, Falstaff, by Patrick Conoley, signed to base and dated 1970, with original preliminary sketch on paper, 22cm high and a carved wood nutcracker, man in hat (3)

Patrick Conoley was born in Worcester under and studied under Adam Seaton White, at Cheltenham Art School.
He produced hundreds of sculptures, usually in wood or stone, many of which are to be found in and on public buildings, churches and cathedrals, as well as in private collections. More than 150 of his carvings can be seen on various parts of Magdalen College, Oxford. He created sculptures for Christ Church in Oxford, Cardiff University, Tewkesbury Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral.
Three of Patrick's most familiar sculptures are the 7ft 6in classical figures in the Pittville Pump Room building in Cheltenham. They were re-created by Patrick in 1965, in the style of the original sculptures, carved in 1827, which were in pieces, with large parts so badly weather-damaged as to be unrecognisable. Patrick also helped in the restoration of Blenheim Palace.
