An illuminated card address, To Sir Robert Alfred Hampson, JP, On His Retirement from the Chairmanship of the Everton Conservative Divisional Council, dated Liverpool, June, 1910, by Robert Hewitt, Illuminating Artist, 16, Lord St, in watercolour, gouache and gilt, the whole surmounted by his coat of arms, flanked by the Union Flag and Royal Standard, the address including a 21cm initial 'H', the arms of Liverpool and flowers of the Union, photographically-illustrated with portrait of Sir Robert and Lady Hampson, signed by the then MP and other local party dignitaries, 54.5 x 41cm, and a watercolour of a country house and cattle in a landscape, on card, 32 x 52cm, (2)

The address generally good, bold colours, some wear and and bumps. The watercolour OK; some toned-yellowing, minor discolouration, and some foxing.
