European Tour 'Golden Days'. Two manuscript volumes detailing the travels of Louey and Thomas Lea documented and dedicated to the married couple by the author, their cousin Mary, commencing 16th September 1872 in England, then to Paris, the Alps, Switzerland, Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples and Genoa, the journey ending on 28th November, 646pp., numerous photographs, often with decorative borders in ink, pressed flowers and occasional ephemera, contemporary full morocco by C. Winstanley, brass clasps, all edges gilt, 4to, 1872
A loosely inserted note speculates the author is the grand-daughter of Commander Joseph Robert Hownam (1785-1859), Chamberlain to Queen Caroline.
