**FROM THE OWNER; Further to our conversation today, unfortunately the Alfa Romeo Montreal is not starting. As you might be aware Rob Thompson of High Performance Restoration (Shrewsbury) carried out a complete overhaul and restoration of the car after which the car has done very few miles and has been stored in a heated garage. I contacted Rob about the issue who said that the cause of the car not starting is a minor fault caused by either the fuse tending to corrode if the car has not been used for a long time (as in this case )or the points in the distributor need cleaning. We understand the car has not been driven for the past 10 years
The owner had a mechanic over to start and move all his cars but there was no battery power for this car - threfore we have not seen nor heard the car running (it will be trailered to the auction)
The owner has not been able to start the car, believes this is due to an electrical fault, possibly to do with a double coil
There are over 100 photographs loaded on the lot description, the only comment about the bodywork is a small area of blistering around the nearside rear wheelarch - this is clearly visible in the photo loaded
