A 17th or 18th century heavy cast iron strong box or 'Armada' chest, with two working replacement keys, of rectangular form with iron strapwork design, the full width lift lid on bar hinge with swivelling escutcheon engraved 'M H' covering the keyhole, a ring shaped carry handle to each end, hammered riveted joints throughout, painted black, 58 by 33 by 33cm high.
