EXTREMELY RARE 1945 ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT (AMG) "SPECIMEN" BOOKLET: Booklet containing 9 panes of different values, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 & 25pf of the 1945 AMG issue. (SG A1/A9). Each pane of 9 stamps - originally 10 stamps, but the 5th stamp of the top row in each pane has been removed. Panes are attached at left hand side by gummed paper, stapled and separated by interleaving. Each pane being overprinted with large, continuous "SPECIMEN" block letters in purple horizontally through the centre of the pane. The beige outer cover (somewhat scuffed) is inscribed "SPECIMENS/OF/ALLIED MILITARY/GERMAN POSTAGE STAMPS" with burgundy coloured tape covering the staples. A fine and rare item.
