A GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDY
by Charles Aldridge, London 1787, oval, the hinged cover with an urn-shaped finial, the body engraved with ribbon-tied oval cartouches to either side, the one to the front monogrammed, between reeded borders. 14cm high, 14.4 troy ounces
Hallmarks are clear, the finial is loose, a couple of shallow dents to the body, several to the underside of the base, doesn't sit flat so has a slight wobble, the hinged cover opens and closes flush.
