A Celtic gold stater. Very pleasing example of a Trinovantes and Catuvellauni ‘Andoco’ type. 5.42g. 16mm. Found in the 1990s, near Wheathampton, Herts. Obverse – crescents in wreath, hidden faces. Reverse – horse right, Bucranium and pelletal sun above; AND below and ring in front.
