A Liverpool creamware jug, 19th century, of typical bellied form printed to one side with a vignette of a lady waving goodbye to the fleet above the title 'SUSAN'S FAREWELL. Adieu, she cry'd and wav'd her lily hand', and to the other with a tall ship in full sail, H. Blakey Collection label to base, 19cm high (at fault)

The piece shows a fine star crack approximately 5cm wide below the image of the ship's bow, and a further diagonal hairline crack approximately 5cm long to the right of this. The body shows surface scratching, some light pitting to the glaze and the odd firing pit and frit. The transfer prints show expected age-related wear.
