A Continental gothic 'moraillon' lock, possibly French or Spanish, the square plate with fret work border, the hasp with a figure of a dragon, with candle silhouette decoration to location mount, the false throat covered by a pivoted wrythen column with block and turned column securing pin, to right hand side, the hasp released by a pull out pin to the left hand side, the whole mounted on a later wooden plinth, 23 x 18cm.
