Battle of Waterloo interest: A French cast brass Imperial Eagle, 5cm x 5cm, mounted in a velvet-lined frame with ink-on-paper inscription "This French Eagle was brought from Waterloo by Lt. Smith, 14th Regt., the youngest English officer present at the Battle". Provenance: The Eyres Collection of French Napoleonic Prisoner-of-War Works of Art and Antique Weapons, assembled over many years by a Devon collector.  Sold on the instructions of the Executor.
