A delicate original pencil on paper botanical study titled "Dahlia" by the artist Elizabeth A. McEwen (b.1937 - d.2020). Signed bottom left and housed in complimentary frame.
McEwen was a member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists and the Society of Botanical Artists with whom she had exhibited in London. She was a three time winner of the H. R. Brown Painting Competition. She was elected to Academician of the Royal Ulster Academy in 1990.
