Medals (2) of 15965 Private James Alfred Minton of 7th Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. British War Medal 1914-1920, and Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918. Resident of Edmonton, Middlesex. Previously served in 8th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment until April 1909. Enlisted at Brentford on 3rd September 1914. Deserted from Pirbright on 1st January 1915. Returned to duty with 7th Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry and forfeit his pay on 1st February 1915. Landed in France on 24th July 1915. Wounded on 15th June 1916. Transferred to 631st Labour Company in June 1917 and then compulsorily transferred to the Royal Defence Corps in July 1918. Posted to the Army Reserve on 21st February 1919.
