Three albums - (1) of early photos; (2) of Cabinet cards and Cartes de Visite (CdV); and (3) of postcards.
(1) is an album of approximately 92 early photographs, two to a page, each image very approximately 11.5cms by 8cms, of various family portraits and topographical views - at least some of which are of France. But there are four of Edwardian Southsea showing the South Parade Pier and Canoe Lake area and four of military reviews on Southsea Common (see photo).
(2) An album with approximately 55 Cabinet cards, CdVs and photos on card, plus approximately 14 others loose including the three photographed of work by local photographers West & Son, Harding and Debenham of Portsmouth. There are also ten Cabinet cards in two folders - or one folder that is now in two parts.
(3) is an incomplete postcard album in poor condition containing approximately 63 cards in mixed condition - some very good, but a few with creasing and one with a corner missing. The cards include eight Harry Payne Raphael Tuck Oilettes and military art cards by other artists; a few topographical art cards; five Fareham cards with a photographic view of West Street; three printed cards of Clovelly; 15 cards of dogs, including six by Mac; other animal and artist signed cards with six by Mabel Lucie Attwell. There is also a mainly empty photo album with what appears to be 12 newspaper comic sketches, including work by Ridgewell and Edwin Morrow (see photo).
