AFTER DAVID HERBERT LAWRENCE, BRITISH, 1885 - 1930, A RARE SET OF ELEVEN 20TH CENTURY PRINTS
Taken from a series of paintings exhibited by D.H. Lawrence in 1929 at The Warren Gallery, London, a framed and glazed handwritten catalogue of works accompanies the group (having the same dimensions), each print bears an impressed ‘WBW’ watermark verso, with markings on the edges indicating they were originally bound, signed either ‘DHL’ or the alias ‘Lorenzo’, framed in bevelled card and housed in cellophane sleeves (apart from one).

N.B. these particular prints were purchased in 1976 from the family of a well-known socialist, friends with Kier Hardie & associates with Lawrence, information from type-written note in frame
