A mid Victorian rosewood and silver mounted glass travelling dressing table set, mid 19th century. Fitted interior with silver mounted bottles and jars, two trays with button hooks, spoon and manicure items with an internal tray beneath. Silver mounts mark of John Harris, London 1864. Brass lock struck ’S Mordan & Co London’. The upper catch to the cover incorporated with a sliding mechanism to reveal the compartment with mirror and letter holder. 20.5 cm height, 32.4 cm width, 25.5 cm depth.
Condition report: Some wear with age to the interior and exterior. Some manicure items missing. Some chips (one with small hole), some surface wear to silver. Small cylindrical jar cover to front section worn. Key included for main compartment. Lower exterior draw locked without key.
