Gold 10 Dollars, 1913. Ottawa. Canadian Gold Hoard.
Canada produced its first non-Sovereign gold coins in 1912-1914 in $5 and $10 denominations. However, due to World War I, production stopped, and most of the coins were stored in the Bank of Canada's vaults. These coins were largely forgotten until 30,000 of these coins were sold to the public by the Bank of Canada in 2012.
