Elizabeth Gaskell An autograph letter signed to Mrs Scott, 3pp., folded, 'Dear Mrs Scott, I hoped to have been able to get over to (?)Halliwell Lane today to call on Mrs Bathurst. In great haste, Yours affectly, E. C. Gaskell'
