An 1822 pattern British Military Officer's sword with brass scabbard, VR cypher and etched blade with Roth & Freeman New Bond Street, London, approx overall length 98cms.
The scabbard has one small crease around half way down and some shallow dents near the frog, the gilt lacquer finish has worn away. The pommel is firm and does not jiggle, the wire mesh is worn away in several areas and the blade has some light pitting.
