AN EXCEPTIONAL 19TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD MOTHER OF PEARL INLAID WRITING SLOPE BOX, a very fine example. The top and front panels decorated with finely crafted mother of pearl inlay in a scrolling floral and foliage design. The hinged box opens to reveal a tooled leather writing slope, in excellent condition. There are two clear glass ink bottles present, along with a pen section and storage beneath the leather writing slope. Along with a secret compartment. Dimensions open: 49 x 40.5 x 11cm (D x W x H).
