1887-1900 East & West Africa Medal Benin 1897 clasp and WW1 BWM to J. Thrasher Ord H.M.S. Forte (35273 Pte J. Thrasher Essex R on WW1), replacement suspender on E&W Africa, minor contact marks, about very fine and better. With 6 copied pages of WW1 service record, John Thrasher enlisted aged 39 in 6th Bn Essex Regt 19/3/15 stating former service in RN, served France 4/1/17 to 21/4/17 when evacuated due to trench feet, later served France 20/7/17 to 23/9/17 and evacuated with Retinitis, discharged 1/3/18 no longer fit for war service.
Sold with KEVII Volunteer Force Long Service Medal to 1929 Sjt F. Shadbolt 22 Middx V.R.C. nearly very fine. (R)
